The leftmost is signed "MIP 1897", a watercolor of a Dutch girl with serving tray. The one on the right is also signed "MIP 1897." This Dutch girl is churning butter with help from a sly peeking little kitten. Each are housed in an ornate gilded frame. They were lovingly preserved, and acquired from the estate of an elegant collector from Shaker Heights, Ohio. Dimensions are 13"ht X 10 ½" w. Click either image to see the frame of the Dutch girls.

Thank you, they are sold!

Watercolor and ink "Skating in Central Park New York City", signed "J.M. Tillaring or Gallaring" (unable to decipher the first letter of last name) and dated '64. Dimensions are approximately 26" long, 20" wide. This is a colorful and stylized depiction of ice skating in the city. The art is wonderful, but, oh, the frame just does not do the work justice!

Portraits in pencil/charcoal. We believe them circa mid 1800's. All three signed by artist "JW Shiekmaken or Shriekmaker." Sorry, we are unable to clearly discern artist's name from the signature on each of the three works. Dimensions 22 ½" ht. X 20" wide. The frames are beautiful and appear original; walnut deep-well frames with a 2 ½"depth. Condition of all is very good. These are superb examples of itinerant portrait artistry of that era. Click on each of the images for detail of each portrait.

Thank you! They are sold.
