Many dealers buy their merchandise at auction - they really don't know the origin or integrity of the item they buy. Or maybe from a huge megamall, where they never see or speak to the seller. Maybe the piece has been "worked"...or maybe not. Sometimes it's really hard to tell. We make it our business to talk to the owners, and get the history on the piece.

We buy our merchandise from private individuals, collectors, heirs, or even yourself if you are thinking of selling. Many times we are working with executors who are faced with the overwhelming task of disbursing a family member's property while dealing with grief and other pressures. Unlike buyers who "cherry pick" in these cases, we provide a comprehensive range of services that, we are told, are quite unique and are valuable for probate of property. We consult, manage, research, appraise, broker, clean, organize, and sell property for our clients. And we do it by the piece, by the room, or by the housefull. Whatever is needed.

Sometimes our projects seem like archaeological digs - they are always wonderful adventures. We are able to buy and sell at fair prices while offering our customers antiques with fascinating tales, often with interesting family histories and colorful anecdotes - these pieces are never anonymous orphans to us.
